When news broke that Billy Glidden, amongst the best
drivers in fast doorslammer racing, was parking his trusty
nitrous-assisted Pro Mod Mustang and joining forces with
Precision Turbo & Engine’s Harry Hruska as the driver of his
twin-turbocharged, world-record-setting Pro Mod Camaro, it
seemed only a matter of time before the dynamic duo would
find their way to the winner’s circle. Only three races into
their partnership, Glidden and Hruska did exactly that with a
dominating performance at the 10th annual Summit Racing
Equipment NHRA Nationals. Along with setting top speed at
251.81mph, Glidden clicked off a string of four runs between
5.880- and 5.895-seconds to secure his second event win in
the J&A Services NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series.
