The GALOT Motorsports pit area is a testament to the level to which Pro Mod drag racing has
reached in recent years. Packed with three of the best-performing eighth-mile Pro Mod and Pro
Extreme cars on the planet, respectively wheeled by Kevin Rivenbark, John Strickland and the
world-renowned tuner/driver Todd Tutterow, team GALOT has put the Professional Drag Racers
Association on notice. While Tutterow maintains a top-five spot in the 3.4-second, 220mph Pro
Extreme division, Rivenbark and Strickland have the Pro Boost category on lockdown – holding
the top two spots in the championship points standings. “To dominate in a class like Pro Boost
is just unbelievable,” says Rivenbark, who won three races in a row earlier this season. “There’s
no words to describe the feeling, but when you get on top you have people gunning for you,
which is understandable. Just like when Gary White took me out in the second round in Martin,
Michigan – I had him on the ‘tree, but my car got loose. They felt like they had won Indy. But
they were game and they were gunning for us. All I know is I’d like another chance at him.”
