The 2014 NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster world champion recorded a season-best elapsed time of 5.221 at 273.66 mph after his Peen Rite blown alcohol dragster set down the front wheels. Demke qualified third and improved to a 5.219 in the first round of eliminations, eventually moving on to the raindelayed final round contested at the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota.
