While Harvey’ s success in pro-level doorslammer racing is well-known, the Elon, North Carolina-native is quick to admit that he’ s every bit as passionate about driving and racing his rear-engine dragster on the big money bracket scene.“ Some people don’ t really understand that, honestly, bracket racing is every bit as tough if not tougher than racing in a class like Pro Nitrous,” says Harvey.“ I go to these $ 50,000-to-win bracket races and you might lose by two-thousandthsof-a-second. I’ ll have a ten-thousandths package and I’ ll lose to an eighththousandths package. Every guy there is a hitter, and there’ s sometimes 400- 500 cars there – the last race I went to it took 10 rounds to win the race.”
