PRODUCTS & PRESS SNYDER FALLS SHORT AT THE SUMMIT

At the second NHRA North Central Lucas Oil Divisional of 2017, Mick Snyder and the Powersource Transportation Team traveled to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH for a rain soaked NHRA Cavalcade of Stars. The 6-time Season Champs and their unconventional Supercharged, ComSyncEFI Top Sportsman combination gained a great deal of exposure on and off the track. Off the track, Snyder was invited to participate in the always-popular“ Stars” autograph session. On the track, the Team qualified near the top of the pack with a 1000-foot shot. However, the team fell short during the second round of eliminations on Sunday and ultimately lost the Jeg’ s All Star points lead by less than a round.
“ It wasn’ t a great weekend for the Powersource Transportation Team. While we still learned a few things, we really need laps with this new engine combination. The rain once again shortened our qualifying shots and played havoc on the race schedule,” Snyder continued.“ We ended up falling less than a round short of our goal to represent Division 3 in the Jeg’ s Allstars, but that’ s part of competition. With the new points structure, we hope to have another shot at it next season.”
During qualifying, the Powersource Transportation Corvette ran 6.236 seconds at 210.34 miles per hour with the 1000-foot pass to put them third on the qualifying sheet. Snyder took the win in the opening round of competition with a lifting 6.318 at 218.80 mph effort. In the second round, Snyder lit the big red bulb in the losing effort.
“ The Snyder Motorsports Team has a little time off till our next event. This should give us some time to get a few customer projects completed. I also have a couple Radial Races to hit with my Texas Crew, so it should be an action packed month even with the Powersource Transportation Vette resting comfortably in the shop,” Snyder smiled.
