It was an action-packed day at Mississippi’s Gulfport Dragway when Wade White turned on the
win light in the opening round of eliminations, triggering a leap of excitement from his girlfriend,
Annette Deffes. Meanwhile, Todd Schumert heats the hides of his rear-engine dragster in hopes
of a win light of his own. Hundreds of sportsman cars turn out to compete in the King of the
Coast Bracket Series, held six weekends per season at the popular Mississippi Gulf Coast facility.
