Terry Adams / Frank Iaconio 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass
Terry Adams began his Pro Stock career in the late 1970’ s behind the wheel of a Hudson, NC-based Hemi Dodge Colt owned by Clyde Curtis, before eventually becoming a NHRA Pro Stock contender as well as championshipcalibur tuner. Adams, who hails from nearby Millers Creek, NC shined in front of the hometown fans at Wilkesboro by winning the event over Shane Westmoreland’ s Beretta in the finals. Adams’ s Cutlass is another example of an authentic former Pro Stocker that’ s been resurrected. After Frank Iaconio retired this car from the NHRA National Event circuit, it was owned by a Pennsylvania collector for many years. Adams knew exactly where the car was located and struck a deal to purchase the Cutlass and return it to the track, much to the delight of Pro Stock purists.“ It’ s the prefect car for this Nostalgia Pro Stock deal,” remarked Adams.

Two-time IHRA Top Sportsman World Champion Frank Teague from Hickory, NC saw the perfect opportunity to join the Nostalgia Pro Stock movement with his 1994 Dodge Avenger.“ When Jeff and Tyrone started this deal, I thought to myself how cool it would be to have a Darrell Alderman tribute car in the fold,” says Teague. A longtime Mopar enthusiast, Teague had the opportunity several decades ago to buy a box of authentic Darrell Alderman Pro Stock uniforms merely as a keepsake, and although they’ ve been in storage all these years, Frank says this was the perfect opportunity to break them out for his Nostalgia Pro Stock operation.“ The Koffels are also on board with this deal and loving it, and they traveled all the way to Wilkesboro from Ohio this weekend just to be apart of this event,” says Teague.
