MOVERS & SHAKERS
WELCOME TO THE SHOW
(Left) Summit Motorsports Park track president and pro-
moter Bill Bader listens intently as John DeCerbo explains
to the crowd how he plans to throw multiple kitchen sinks
at his nitrous-assisted ‘68 Camaro in an effort to defeat low
qualifier Matt Hutter in the opening round of DeCerbo Con-
struction X4 presented by R&R Auto Body during Night Un-
der Fire. (Right) Rahn Tobler is awarded a crystalline placard
to commemorate his honor as the Grand Marshal at Summit
Motorsports Park’s popular Night Under Fire match race.
Will
to Race
Danny Stout has never let
a childhood injury slow him
down in life, and despite be-
ing confined to a wheelchair
since age 11, he discovered
the sport of drag racing in his
early 20s after he outfitted a
1968 Plymouth Roadrunner
with hand controls. He later
raced a 1966 Impala, scoring
three Super Chevy victories,
and once famously won five
Sundays in a row at Brown
County Dragway in the 1980s.
He’s still a fierce competi-
tor in his current ride, a 1977
Chevrolet Chevette, and
enjoys racing with his brother
at tracks such as Muncie
Dragway, where this photo
was snapped.
