WORLD SERIES OF PRO MOD
READY
TO
SHINE
WHILE THE WORLD Series of
Pro Mod first and foremost pre-
sented an opportunity for perennial
NHRA frontrunner Danny Rowe to
compete for a cool one-hundred-
grand, it also served as the perfect
venue to unveil a new sponsorship
with Vektor Vodka and a fresh
paint scheme on the team’s 2016
Chevy Corvette.
THE PEOPLE’S CHAMP
ALL OR
NOTHING
JIM WHITELEY, WHO took it upon
himself to organize a fun, impromp-
tu $1,000-to-win burnout contest
during Friday night’s second sched-
uled shakedown run, brought the fans
in the stands to their feet after blaz-
ing through the puddle at the base of
Thunder Mountain and roasting the
tires for over 300-feet.

ANDERSON
“STEVIE FAST” JACKSON was amongst the
first to accept his World Series of Pro Mod invi-
tation and made it clear how intent he was on
winning the event by making one strong run after
another during midweek testing. After smoking
out Bandimere Speedway with a soon-to-be-
legendary 1,000-foot burnout in his Bahrain 1
Racing supercharged Chevy Camaro Pro Mod - a
truly epic drag racing moment that will not soon
be forgotten - Jackson appeared to have a full
head of steam headed into Saturday’s no-holds-
barred elimination rounds. Unfortunately, the
fast-talking fan-favorite driver’s weekend came
to an abrupt end in round one at the hands of
Mike Janis and an apparent electronic failure that
caused the car to shut-off prematurely.
