SHE GONE
Frank Brandao’s hard-charging “King Kong 6” 2015 Dodge Dart, driven by
second-generation doorslammer star Lizzy Musi, takes off on a 3.712-second,
203.55-mph blast down the historic Lucas Oil Raceway strip during the Friday
night qualifying session at the PDRA Mid-America Indy Showdown. Musi qualified
third in the Pro Nitrous field at Indy, one of the six times she raced from a Top 3
position in 2017. With a power plant built and tuned by her father, Pat Musi, “King
Kong 6” was also almost always the fastest nitrous car on the property, boasting
record-breaking trap speeds of 205 and 206 mph at the end of the season.
