PRO JR. DRAGSTER
NOAH CORNATZER
With fields often spread by just
a few hundredths between the
No. 1 and 16 qualifiers, merely
qualifying for races in Coolshirt
Pro Jr. Dragster was a challenge
in 2018. Young racers needed
to capitalize on every opportu-
nity they had to earn points
once qualified, and that’s
exactly what Noah Cornatzer
did in the Jr. Humbug Racing
Half Scale dragster owned by
his parents, David and Christy.
Cornatzer kicked off his cham-
pionship season with a runner-
up finish at the East Coast
Spring Nationals at GALOT, then
raced to semifinal appearances
at the Firecracker Nationals and
World Finals at Virginia.
TOP JR. DRAGSTER
BROOKE MILLER
Driving her family’s pair of Pee
Dee Fleet/Darlington Dragway-
backed Huddleston Jr. Drag-
sters, Brooke Miller had two
40 PDRA660.com
shots to win at every race as
she competed in Gilbert Mo-
torsports Top Jr. Dragster and
Pro Jr. Dragster. While she ex-
perienced some success in Pro
Jr. Dragster, she excelled in Top
Jr. Dragster. The Hartsville,
South Carolina, driver raced to
runner-up finishes at the
North-South Shootout in Mary-
land and the Fall Nationals at
Darlington, the facility owned
by her parents, Russell and Dee
Dee Miller. In addition to
Brooke’s Top Jr. Dragster cham-
pionship trophy, the Miller
family also left the PDRA
Banquet with the 2018 Track of
the Year Award.
