NEW BRAKE CALIPER
TEMPERATURE STRIPS
■ Wilwood’s Temperature Strips
provide an easy, accurate, and afford-
able method of recording observed
on-track temperatures of brake cali-
pers or other components on a race
car. The adhesive-backed strips can
be attached to any clean, smooth sur-
face to record peak temperatures that
occur during any session.
The temperatures are marked for
both Fahrenheit and Celsius with
the range of 250° to 536° F and
121° to 280° C. The indicator color
changes to black when a tempera-
ture level is observed. Each package
includes 10 non-reversible strips.

Pistons are grooved for a .043,
.043, 3.0mm precision ring set
that also is available for purchase
separately (standard or tension);
all manufactured to exacting tol-
erances to ensure maximum per-
formance with a longer life cycle.
Performance coatings include a
phosphate dry lubricant that is
used to protect against ring mi-
cro-welding and pin galling dur-
ing initial startup and break-in
followed by MAHLE’s proprietary
Grafal® anti-fraction skirt coating
