answer my dumb questions.”
Glenn has been immersed in racing since he
was in diapers, and the sport was – and still is –
simply a way of life. He grew up in a racing family
and married fellow Sportsman racer and PR/
Social Media professional Sadie (Floyd) Glenn.
He already possesses a wealth of knowledge
for someone in his mid-20s, but every day is still
an education for Glenn, and he is grateful for the
opportunities that have come his way.
Glenn and Pro Stock driver/lifelong Sports-
man racer Jason Line recently built a new big-
block bullet for the 1968 Chevy El Camino given
to Glenn by his grandmother. Before the build,
Glenn had made between 1,500 and 2,000 passes
in the car, and he’d had his fair share of success
behind the wheel.
After the build, he went to Darlington Dragway
and doubled at the IHRA Summit Sportsman
Spectacular in both Mod and Top Eliminator.
The package is available at SummitRacing.com by
searching Dallas Glenn 427 Chevy Parts Combos.
“Jason is an absolute guru when it comes to
anything engines, especially in Stock Eliminator,”
says Glenn. “He’s kind of become like a second
father-figure for me since I moved [from Wash-
ington] to North Carolina. He’s definitely taught
me a lot, and not just about racing. He’s a really
great guy.
“It’s really special to work with this team,” Glenn
adds. “When we come to a race, if we’re not walk-
ing away with a green and yellow hat for a No.
1 qualifier and a win, there was something left.
Not a lot of teams can say that. When we come
here, we come to win and not for anything else.”
With the influence of the KB Racing braintrust
of Greg Anderson, Line, Downing, and Dave Con-
nolly, Glenn could be well on the path to following
in their footsteps, but he doesn’t want to get too
ahead of himself.
“I could see being a crew chief someday, but it
would definitely be a long way out there,” he says.
“There is so much I don’t know about these cars;
it’s mind-boggling. But there will always be the
next group coming in, and I’d like to be part of
that one day.
“Working with this team has definitely changed
me. The amount that I’ve learned – I look back
at how I was racing before, and I thought I knew
a lot, but I didn’t know anything. I’m sure in
7-10 years, I’ll look back and say the same thing
about where I am now. ‘Man, that kid didn’t know
anything.’”

allas Glenn was tapped as a
crew member for the Summit Rac-
ing NHRA Pro Stock team in 2013,
and the job offer was a dream real-
ized for the avid and accomplished Sportsman
racer. Crew Chief Rob Downing undoubtedly saw
that Glenn had something to bring to the table,
and from the very first day of his involvement
with KB Racing, Glenn valued the opportunity.
“I just wanted to learn everything I could about
racing,” says Glenn, who handles back-half du-
ties on Jason Line’s Summit Racing Chevrolet
Camaro, is the team’s tire specialist, and drives
Line’s rig between events.
“My hope has always been to drive a Pro Stock
car, and you never know, but the main thing for
me is that I learn something every day,” Glenn
says. “I’ve learned a lot this year, with chassis
set-up, how these Pro Stock cars work, and how
to make them better. There is always something
to learn, and Rob is a quiet guy, but he’s very, very
intelligent. There are a lot of other things he could
spend his time on, but he always makes time to
