PANIC!
SoCal’s own Shawn Van Horn roasts the tires in his newly
built “Panic!” Bantam Fuel Altered during the 62nd annual
March Meet. The A&W-backed hot rod already showed
great promise a week before the March Meet running
clean, low 6-second passes during testing. During the
course of the event, Van Horn managed to qualify in the
No. 4 position with a 6.177 at 230.25 mph. He ran even
quicker in the first round of eliminations, posting a 6.137
to the scoreboards, but lost the race at the tree due to a
holeshot by Mark Whynaught.
