Despite some setbacks and uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic , the 2020 drag racing season was still one for the history books as racers stepped up to make the most of the unplanned downtime by improving their programs so they could push their performance .

With John Sears managing everything from rules to tech , planning and promoting , points and more , it was definitely a complicated task getting the exhausting small-tire year finally wrapped up . Despite only winning one race and going to the semifinals several times , the combination proved unbeatable overall in the Vortech Superchargers Ultra Street Shootout . Keep also doubled up the excitement by capturing the 2020 NMRA Edelbrock Xtreme Street championship as well .
