Kimmelyn Pesz waits to give her husband , Pro Mod veteran Brandon Pesz , the signal to bump into the prestage beam for a qualifying pass at the second annual CTECH Manufacturing World Doorslammer Nationals presented by JEGS . Pesz grew up in drag racing along with her brother , Top Fuel driver Troy Buff , as the children of Hall of Famer Willard Buff . She even spent some time behind the wheel of an A / Fuel dragster in the late 2000s . Today , she can be found in the three-car PJS Racing pits working alongside Brandon and their son , Cole , a car chief and driver-in-training .
