OFF THE RAILS
■ One of Jordan Ensslin ’ s Hoosier slicks goes bouncing down the Summit Motorsports Park quarter-mile surface after breaking loose from his Florida-based ‘ 71 Mustang in the second round of eliminations at the PDRA American Doorslammer Challenge . Ensslin started the race in the left lane , then the wheel center broke apart due to fatigue , sending the wheel and tire out from under the car . Ensslin bounced around and crossed the centerline , but he managed to keep the car off the wall . The car didn ’ t sustain much damage and was back in action at the PDRA ’ s next stop in Maryland .
