NHRA Funny Car veteran Ron Capps waves at the fans in the stands at Summit Motorsports Park ’ s legendary Night Under Fire as he rides atop his Dodge Charger-bodied NAPA Auto Parts Funny Car . The

2016 world champion and 2021 title contender was one of numerous “ big show ” nitro racers booked in to perform at Night Under Fire . Since the track didn ’ t open at all in 2020 due to the pandemic , there were thousands of eager fans waving back at Capps and the other performers during the pre-race parade down the track . In fact , the event was entirely sold out the day before the one-day show .
