INCE 2015 , Drag IllustrateD has created the annual 30 Under 30 list as our rebuttal to the notion that drag racing is a dying sport . Every fall , the thousands of forms submitted during the 30 Under 30 nomination process remind us that drag racing ’ s future is in good hands . ¶ Once again , this year ’ s 30 Under 30 list is made up of a diverse group of young men and women from different backgrounds , each carving their own path in the sport . This year ’ s honorees are drivers , tuners , crew members , fabricators , series and track officials , content creators , and media members . Their contributions to the sport range from the obvious and well-publicized efforts of world champion racers to behind-the-scenes work that often goes unnoticed and underappreciated . ¶ It ’ s our hope that by recognizing their efforts , these young individuals will be inspired to continue dedicating their hard work , time , and money to pursuing even bigger goals in the future .
