Palmetto No-Prep takes over Darlington Dragway ’ s shutdown area BY ROB KING

Since the reality show Street Outlaws hit national TV , street racing has been exposed to every television across the world . With the popularity of noprep and street-style racing , the back side of racetracks are giving racers a legal place to race to simulate street racing . Darlington Dragway opened its doors to this style of racing with the Palmetto No-Prep series featuring three events in 2021 .

Palmetto No-Prep features a Small Tire class ( 28x10.5 non w slick class ), Big Tire ( anything goes , rear-wheel-drive class ), and Outlaw Real
Street , which brings some of the baddest true street cars around to the back side of Darlington Dragway . The race is a partnership with Darlington Dragway and Spoold Media ’ s Corey Stamper running the program , with Bryan Joseph aka BJ Da Flagman from New Orleans on the light , using his world-famous “ pad stick ” flashlight . All races are called off cameras placed at the starting line for “ tire crack ” jumps and a top end camera for close calls .
