NHRA Top Fuel stars Brittany Force and Justin Ashley race side-byside in front of a packed house for the final NHRA SpringNationals Wally at Houston Raceway Park . Force , the 2017 world champion , held off Ashley ’ s 3.763-second pass with her 3.767 to win on a holeshot . It was Force ’ s 13th career win and her second of the season , giving her the points lead going into the late spring and early summer stretch of the season . This was the last final round to run at the SpringNationals , which was billed as the final NHRA national event at Houston .
