HOOKED FOR LIFE : Rick Whaley made his first pass down Piedmont Dragway in 1968 , and has been hooked ever since . The Reidsville , North Carolina , resident went on to win five championships at Piedmont , and picked up another one at Roxboro Dragway . Whaley , now 69 , has retired his beautiful IROC Camaro and will campaign a ‘ 78 Malibu for the 2022 season .
QUEEN TUT : Denise Tutterow posts up in the door frame of the screw-blown P2 Contracting Pro Boost Camaro driven and tuned by her husband , Pro Mod veteran Todd “ King Tut ” Tutterow . Denise has been along for the ride throughout Todd ’ s career , which has included more than a dozen championships in various series .
