Melanie Salemi launches hard in Eddie Whelan ’ s roots-blown “ Slice-and-Ice ” Camaro during Saturday evening qualifying at the 51st annual Snowbird Outlaw Nationals . She laid down a 3.591-second pass on this run , and while impressive , it wasn ’ t quicker than her 3.589 at 206.95 mph in Friday qualifying that kept her at the top of the qualifying order for the 32-car Outlaw Pro Mod show . It was the final No . 1 qualifier award for Salemi in a season that saw her lead the
Pro Boost field into eliminations four times throughout the PDRA season .
