Scott Leber lays down a big , smoky burnout in the “ Cosmic Ray ” ‘ 63 Corvette gasser at Quaker City Motorsports Park ’ s Nostalgia Classic , a fan-favorite event for lovers of all things nostalgia drag racing . Gassers are the name of the game for Leber , who owns ScottRods , a company that specializes in custom fiberglass gasser bodies . He also runs the ScottRods AA / Gasser group , which puts on shows all over the Midwest and East Coast . The “ Cosmic Ray ” is one of his proudest creations , as it took five years to complete . The paint includes 10 pounds of silver metal flake , and it ’ s powered by a methanol-burning , supercharged big-block Chevy .
