He dominated the inaugural PDRA season to win the 2014 Pro Nitrous world championship , won it again in 2018 , switched to Pro Boost for a season and a half , went back to Pro Nitrous , then committed to a full Pro Boost title chase in 2023 . Driving his Brandon Stroud-tuned , ProCharged “ Party Time ” 69 Camaro , Harris won three races in five final-round appearances to add the Pro Boost title to his resume .

Longtime outlaw doorslammer racer Ken Quartuccio was another first-time winner who finished in the top three . He came back from a devastating crash at Martin to finish out the season . He performed well in the Florida “ winter series ” races , taking runner-up honors at the U . S . Street Nationals . Quartuccio , tuner Jamie Miller , and the Pro- Charged “ Serial Killer ” ’ 69 Camaro will be title contenders again .
Kurt Steding , who was runner-up at the 2023 World Series of Pro Mod and raced to three consecutive Pro Boost final rounds in the middle of the season , is rolling into the new season with a brand-new car . Prepared by Todd Tutterow ’ s WYO Motorsports , the screw-blown P2 Contracting ’ 69 Camaro is a showstopper . It replaces Steding ’ s late-model Camaro , which was put

through the paces since its debut in 2020 .
There ’ s not enough space on these pages to go over all of the heavy hitters and title contenders for the 2024 Pro Boost season . A few more include two-time and first-time winner Scott Lang , multi-time winners Melanie Salemi , Randy Weatherford , and Johnny Camp , young gun Preston Tanner , 2023 WSOPM winner Spencer Hyde , and Joe Albrecht with car owner Fletcher Cox . 2024 WSOPM winner Derek Ward is also expected to run the full season . We ’ ll likely see new contenders emerge as well , some possibly moving up from the Elite Top Sportsman ranks .

A series-record 31 cars competed in Liberty ’ s Gears Extreme Pro Stock presented by AED Competition Fuel Systems in 2023 . That was up four from the 2022 count and up significantly from 18 in 2021 and 2019 , 14 in 2020 , and so on . The influx of

new competitors included returning favorites as well as first-time Mountain Motor Pro Stock racers .
One of those newcomers was Alan Drinkwater , who went on to win the 2023 world championship . The former Pro 632 driver actually started the season in Pro 632 , then picked up his first win in the class in his second start driving his Kaasepowered IronListing . com Mustang . Under the tutelage of two-time world champion Johnny Pluchino and his father , 2016 world champion John Pluchino , Drinkwater went on to win again later in the season before back-to-back semifinal finishes helped him secure his first series title . Drinkwater plans to mix in some NHRA quarter-mile races into his 2024 schedule , but he ’ ll be a contender at the PDRA races he does attend .
