Gulfport Dragway continues to launch brand-new events with the sportsman racer in mind , while preserving the tried-and-true gatherings that have made this Mississippi Gulf Coast facility a family-friendly dragstrip with decades of success .
The latest example of big-money bracket racing was held in November 2024 with the running of the inaugural $ 25K Forever Footbrake 150 . The
January / February 2025 event featured a pair of $ 25K-to-win eliminators , along with an $ 8K No Guts No Glory race and a Friday night gambler ’ s race that featured a last-minute purse increase . Originally billed as a $ 3K purse , the payout for the gambler ’ s race was increased to $ 4K moments before things got underway .
