During a red-hot summer stretch of Pro Modified action, no one was hotter than eighth-mile Pro Mod veteran Randy Weatherford. Sporting a new Hart’ s Charger centrifugal supercharger in his WS Construction’ 21 Camaro, Weatherford swept back-toback races in Michigan – the PDRA Northern Nationals at U. S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin and the IHRA Outlaw Pro Mod Nationals at Darana Dragway in Milan. With a brain trust that includes Pro Line Racing tuners Steve Petty and Jamie Miller and car chief Justin Carmack, Weatherford qualified No. 1 at both events and used quick, consistent passes to collect both trophies as well. In addition to his car’ s performance, Weatherford was also on his game as a driver, cutting. 00 reaction times at both races. Weatherford and his team’ s ability to manage hot conditions and tough competition in two different series earned him this issue’ s PEAK Performer title.
