PRO STREET ETHAN STEDING
EXTREME PRO STOCK ALAN DRINKWATER
● Two years after Alan Drinkwater hoisted his first world championship trophy, the Florida native captured another title in AED Competition Extreme Pro Stock to close out the 2025 season. Drinkwater in his Kaase-powered Flatout Gaskets’ 08 Mustang won four races in five final-round appearances across the seven-race season to become just the fourth driver in series history to win multiple Extreme Pro Stock world championships.
At the third race of the season, Drinkwater won the North vs. South Shootout and stayed on a roll through the second half of the season. He won the Northern Nationals and the final two events of the season, DragWars and the World Finals. The last win was a bonus, as Drinkwater secured the championship when he qualified for the World Finals.
“ We came here in‘ 23, first time out running Extreme Pro Stock, and we clinched the championship in probably one of the most competitive fields in PDRA history,” Drinkwater said.“ We didn’ t race any PDRA last year, and to come back and repeat it again just makes us feel real good.”
● Ethan Steding had his work cut out for him as he rolled into the 2025 season looking to defend his Liberty’ s Gears Pro Street presented by Menscer Motorsports world championship. Competing against an increasingly competitive field that included 2023 Super Street world champion Blake Denton and Super Bowl champion turned Pro Street rookie Fletcher Cox, Steding raced to a nearly perfect second half of the season – three wins in four final rounds – to claim his second straight title.
Behind the wheel of his roots-blown P2 Contracting“ College Fund”’ 24 Camaro, Steding won the Mid-Atlantic Showdown, the Northern Nationals, and DragWars. In their fifth head-to-head battle of the season, Steding defeated Denton in the World Finals semifinals to clinch the title. He ended up winning the event too.
“ Honestly, it’ s my team. Without them, I wouldn’ t be here,” said Steding.“ We fought hard and I came around as a driver and we just kept taking it and that’ s what you have to do. It’ s a lot of stress on your back, 100 %, but whenever you surround yourself with great people, it relieves you a lot.”
