TOP JUNIOR DRAGSTER KNOX SCHWEEN
● As the son of Elite Top Sportsman car owner Dr. Gary Schween, Knox Schween has spent a lot of time around some of the PDRA’ s toughest sportsman drivers. He was obviously paying attention, as he secured the Classic Graphix Top Jr. Dragster presented by Philadelphia Racing Products world championship in his first full season of competition.
Driving his“ Schween Machine” dragster, the Ohioan came out swinging with his first career win at the East Coast Nationals. He bowed out early at the next two, but he bounced back with back-to-back wins at the Northern Nationals and the Thunder Valley Throwdown. He also picked up his first No. 1 qualifier award at Bristol. Kylie Varnier put up a late-season charge, but it wasn’ t enough to stop Schween.
PRO JR. DRAGSTER MAKENZIE ALEXANDER
● After losing the 2024 world championship by less than one round, Makenzie Alexander was determined to seal the deal in Paragon Pro Jr. Dragster presented by Philadelphia Racing Products in 2025. She did just that by starting and ending the season with victories in the class that regularly attracts dozens of Jr. Dragster drivers attempting to qualify for 32-car fields.
Alexander won the season-opening East Coast Nationals and followed that up with a runner-up finish at the next race, the Mid-Atlantic Showdown, at her home track, Virginia Motorsports Park. She was out after the first and second rounds at the next four events, but she closed out the season with a victory at the World Finals to secure the title.
