Top Fuel rookie Kyle Satenstein experiences the unpredictable rage of a nitro-burning machine seconds after smashing the throttle in his MEW-backed Leverich Racing dragster during the opening round of eliminations at the Texas NHRA FallNationals during the Stampede of Speed. The leaking fuel that caused the fire also led to traction issues for Satenstein, but he caught it quick and avoided further chaos. The New York-based former small-tire racer made a splash in his rookie season, ultimately hoisting his first Ironman at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series finale in North Carolina late in the season.
