‘ DOUBLE-O DALLAS’ DABBLES IN PRO MOD
Reigning NHRA Pro Stock world champion Dallas Glenn appears locked in and focused as he gets familiar with the driver’ s compartment in the screw-blown J & A Service’ 63 Corvette Pro Mod during a test session at Bradenton Motorsports Park. Glenn was offered the opportunity to make his Pro Mod debut by KB Titan Racing co-owner Jim Whiteley, an offer Glenn gladly accepted. After dipping into the 3.50s in testing, Glenn entered the U. S.
Street Nationals presented by M & M Transmission, the second of three races in the Drag
Illustrated Winter Series presented by J & A Service. Glenn laid down a 3.624 that put him No. 29 out of 69 drivers after the first qualifying session. He later improved to a 3.605, but that wasn’ t enough to qualify for the sport’ s first-ever all-3.50-second 32-car Pro Mod field.
