Jerry Morgano, one of Outlaw 10.5’ s staunchest supporters for more than 20 years, leads class newcomer Carson Baker off the starting line as the two square off in the opening round of Pro 10.5 eliminations at the U. S. Street Nationals. Baker in his centrifugally supercharged Polaris / XPEL’ 24 Camaro qualified No. 1 with a 3.884-second pass at 195.79 and Morgano ended up second with a 3.894 at 207.05 in his turbocharged, small-block-powered’ 02 Cobra Mustang, but due to the random chip draws used to determine pairings in the DI Winter Series, the two met up in the opening round. Morgano used a sizeable holeshot and a 3.912 to knock out Baker and his 3.892. Morgano went on to win the event.
