Past No Prep Kings champions Ryan Martin( near lane) and Shawn“ Murder Nova” Ellington come to a stop after doing their burnouts during the fourth Pro Mod qualifying session at the World Series of Pro Mod. Ellington competed in his second Drag Illustrated Winter Series presented by J & A Service behind the wheel of Keith Haney’ s ProCharged – formerly turbocharged – Ram Jack’ 69 Camaro known as“ Blue.” Meanwhile, Martin made his Pro Mod debut at the WSOPM driving for the Australia-based Szabolics-Marchese Racing team in their Harts Charger-boosted’ 23 Camaro. Martin and Ellington both recorded 3.601-second passes to qualify No. 29 and 30, respectively. Incredibly, the two Oklahoma-based drivers drew each other in the opening round, where Ellington got the win. He went on to reach the semifinals.
