Jimmy Taylor, one of the most promising new stars of the 2025 / 2026 Drag Illustrated Winter Series presented by J & A Service, noses his twin-turbocharged Xtreme Racing Engines’ 69 Camaro into the wall just past the eighth-mile finish line while testing ahead of the DI World Series of Pro Mod presented by Red Line Oil. Taylor was on a solid-looking pass when the rear of the car came around and shot him into the wall, quickly and without any warning. With 2018 WSOPM champion in his corner as tuner and engine builder, Taylor was one of the favorites to win going into the weekend. He also set new doorslammer world records leading up to the Winter Series and qualified No. 1 at the second of three races, the U. S. Street Nationals presented by M & M Transmission. Taylor wasn’ t injured, and while the car sustained serious damage, Taylor planned to have it back on track as quickly as possible.
