DIALED IN another heavily-attended three-day weekend of bracket racing, slated for May 22-24.
June is also a big month of racing, including the Charlie Short Memorial, which is part of the three-day weekend. The summer continues to heat up with the July Jackpot, Footbrake Friday, Budget Bracketfest, and lots more. The Summer Bucks Shootout closes out July and eases into August with a three-day weekend that includes Summit points races # 12 and # 13, respectively.
August 14-16 is the designated weekend for the Bee Handshoe Memorial event.“ Racers like Bee Handshoe and Charlie Short supported the track for a long time, and they both have family who still race with us, and we don’ t want to ever forget these folks,” Boone says.

# 12. September will feature several three-day weekends of racing, including the KY High Dollar Nationals and the Big Buck Shabang, with the latter closing out the Summit points with races # 18 and # 19.
Mopar racers and fans always turn out in huge numbers for the Indy Cylinder Head-sponsored Mopar Muscle Dragfest, now in its seventh running at London Dragway, and is scheduled for October 2-4.“ It’ s one of our biggest events, and we typically get 200-300 race cars. We also have a swap meet and car show. Some people drive 2-3 days from across the country just to attend this event,” Boone says. The month of October closes with Halloween Havoc, which also wraps up the track points program for 2026.
The Winter Bucks Shootout and the Thanksgiving Classic put a period on November.“ By then, the weather is extremely hit and miss, so if we can get the Thanksgiving race in, we usually call it a year, although we’ ve raced on into December before,” concludes Boone.“ As always, though, we’ re hoping for another great year here at London.” DI
