In front of a sold-out Saturday crowd, Shawn Langdon and Josh Hart thunder down the iconic Maryland International Raceway during qualifying at the track’ s inaugural NHRA Potomac

Nationals presented by JEGS. Langdon and the Kalitta Air team went into the weekend dominating the Top Fuel category and didn’ t let up. He was the quickest driver in three of the four qualifying sessions, earning 10 championship bonus points and the No. 1 qualifier position.

On race day, Langdon made his way to the final round, where he knocked out his teammate, two-time and defending world champion Doug Kalitta, in a side-by-side 3.76-second match. It was Langdon’ s third consecutive event win, stretching his points lead over Kalitta.
