Through it all, Duell is having a large time, particularly as he learns new tricks in Factory Stock.

“ I’ ve had everything thrown at me, [ from ] big wheelies to the parachute not coming out, but I’ m having a blast with this,” says Duell, gesturing to his car with enthusiasm.“ I love it, and every run I feel like I’ m learning more and more. With Kevin, the Stanfields, and Max and Lane, I’ ve put together the best team. The weak link is the driver, and I’ m working to strengthen it all the time. I love Stock, Super Stock, and Nostalgia Super Stock, but after 30 years of racing, this is a new challenge for me— and the‘ new challenge’ thing is big.” DI
