A massive explosion sends the burst panel and pieces of the windshield flying as Chad Green launches his newly rebranded bproauto Ford Mustang Funny Car in the third qualifying session at the 13th annual NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto. It wasn’ t exactly the way Green wanted to get his sponsor on the highlight reel at the event they also sponsored, but the effect was the same: clips and photos of the incident went viral. The Chad Green Motorsports team, led by former X275 standout“ Mean” Dean Marinis and Joe Serena, went to work repairing the car for the final qualifying session, where Green moved up from No. 14 to eighth on the 16-car qualifying order.
