Most importantly, the NHRA Pro Stock contingent is now within twenty-one thousandths of a second and less than one mile per hour of the best clocking of the Carbureted Era and, with a little bit of luck from Mother Nature, the new cars may actually break the 6.45 / 215 mph standards of the previous reign before the halfway point of only the second season under the new rules.
