ONE COOL ‘CUDA
Arizona’s Mike Cotten hangs the front hoops in his 383ci Plymouth-powered 1970 Barracuda just fractions
of a second after turning on the red light in the third round of Super Stock eliminations at the NHRA
Winternationals. Cotten has been a fixture on the West Coast NHRA sportsman racing scene since he made
his debut in the early ‘80s. He went on to amass a number of accomplishments, including winning the Dallas
national event in Stock Eliminator in 1991 and 1992. Cotten remains a heavy hitter in his 9-second ‘Cuda,
finishing 10th in the 2018 Super Stock national points and runner-up in the Division 7 championship chase.
