In the midst of a pandemic , Texas Motorplex decided to go big . The track pushed forward with an ambitious schedule , a massive undertaking with the inaugural Stampede of Speed , and a number of major events .

make , getting rave reviews for a schedule that catered to all segments of racing and drawing in a huge number of racing fans – and race teams – in the process .

From Funny Car Chaos drawing 60-plus entries in Funny Car to the weeklong Stampede of Speed that concluded with the NHRA FallNationals

to the Street Outlaws : No Prep Kings race drawing another huge crowd , Texas Motorplex did it big in 2021 , earning “ Track of the Year ” honors from Drag IllustrateD .
