Flint, Michigan’ s Tony Norfleet sneaks by one of the eighth-mile blocks, narrowly missing it with one of his 10.5-inch rear slicks, as he carries the front wheels across the finish line in the final Pro 10.5 qualifying session at the WSOPM. Driving the twin-turbocharged’ 69 Camaro typically driven by Mauro Caringi, Norfleet went into the session No. 17 out of 18 cars, and while it was an all-run field, he wanted to improve his position. He accomplished that goal with this hair-raising pass, posting a 4.067 at 195.00 mph to end up No. 14. Norfleet lost in the first round to his neighbor to the north, Ontario, Canada’ s Nick Agostino.
